Instrument
Judging by its size and the join of the body and the neck, this instrument may be a guitarra (gittern) rather than a lute. This is also consistent with the eight pegs on the pegbox, also with a flat angled pegbox rather than the more usual right-angled channels typical of lutes. The decorations on the soundboard suggest it likely to be an instrument built in Spain.
