INSTRUMENT
On of the few depictions of a seven-course vihuela. The instrument is drawn with seven single strings tied to a fixed bridge at the lower end of the instrument. The flat pegbox is drawn with 12 tuning pegs. The body has incurved waists with similar width at both upper and lower bouts. A single rosette is located in the centre of the upper bout near the neck. The profile of the instrument seems to indicat a flat back. The neck is drawn with ten frets with the names of the notes corresponding to each fret indicated on the print.
