Commentary

another version in E-PAbm MS R. 6829 (861) [olim 13230] Cancionero de Medinaceli, nº 7. Attributed to Ravaneda by Trend on the basis of Fuenllana, in “Catalogue of the music in the Biblioteca Medinaceli, Madrid”. Revue Hispanique 71 (1927): 485-554. (p. 498).
From the incipit given in RISM online, the Fuenllana setting is not likely to be the one in Medinaceli.
Vásquez also set the same text.

RISM online [http://www.rism.info/en/service/opac-search.html] (accessed 20/4/2011) lists the work in Medinaceli as anonymous with the composer attribution on the basis of the Fuenllana version, on the basis of Trend 1927. Medinaceli MS is now E-PAbm MS R. 6829 (861) [olim 13230] (171 vocal works) Biblioteca de la Fundación Bartolomé March, Palma de Mallorca, manuscript = RISM ID no. 100000022

Song Text

Puse mis amores
en Fernandico,
¡ay, que era casado,
mal me ha mentido!

Creýle, cuytada,
sus dulces engaños.
Cuando vi mis daños
no me valió nada.
Puse mis amores
en Fernandico
Tráxome engañada
con su amor fingido,
¡ay, que era casado
mal me ha querido!
