ARTWORK
Stone sculpture on the facade of the Cathedral of Yuriria (Guanajuato, Mexico) in the central highlands of Mexico. The colonisation in Guanajuato began in the 1520s and the Cathedral was built in the period 1550-1558. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuriria

INSTRUMENT
A larger model vihuela being played in a life-like position. Te isntrument is evidently flat-backed with the bridge placed very low on the soundboard, and with a rosette in almost the centre of the upper bout. The neck is medium length with an angled, flat pegbox.
