INSTRUMENTS
This depiction is of a guitar or vihuela at the feet of angel musicians. The decorations on the soundboard are typical of early seventeenth-century guitars, including the dark ring around the sound hole. The instrument appears to have 4 courses of strings, black fingerboard and ribs, and a right-angled pegbox largely hidden behind the post of a harp.
