INSTRUMENT
5-string instrument, gently incurved waists of equal width, single rosette near neck, bridge close to bottom, sickle pegbox, played thumb-out. The neck is quite long. Ward describes the player as a student. This illustration is related to the broadsheet print c.1525, = 16-128
