Ramillete de flores o Colección de varias cosas curiosas [Manuscrito]. | 1593 | 16cent/3/late | Madrid | Madrid |
Manuscript of miscellaneous pieces of poetry and music. One of the few surviving Spanish sources containing vihuela tablature written by hand. The manuscript appears to have been compiled in Toledo by Alonso Ortiz de la Fuente in the twenty years prior to the 1593 date that the manuscript bears, and compiled for his sister María del Nacimiento, a Carmelite nun in the convent of San José. She had professed in 1571, and was eventually to beome mother superior.
