Biographical information

Sebastián de Covarrubias y Orozco (Toledo, 1539 - 1613), lexicographer, writer, cryptographer, chaplain of Felipe II in the cathedral of Cuenca. Most famous for his Tesoro de la lengua castellana (1611), relevant for its definitions of musical instruments.
