An Italian painter resident in Spain. All his known work is found in Spain. He came to Spain as a child in 1567. From 1571 worked in Spanish royal service. From 1581 he was one of the team of painters who worked on the decoration of the Monastery of El Escorial. He lead the team who painted the Battle Room in El Escorial between 1585 and 1591.
