Daughter of Francisco Daza and Isabel Rodríguez Nieto, Juana was presumably born in Salamanca where they resided around 1515-1520.
Her father was one of the brothers of the licenciado Esteban Daza, whose sonTomás she married.
She and her husband were therefore first cousins. They had fourteen children of whom the vihuelist Esteban Daza was the firstborn.
She was widowed in 1569, and died around 1585.
