calahorraZ, p. 338 • Gabriel Monferriz, violero. Zaragoza. Earliest reference located: 1578. Great grandson of Mahoma Mofferiz, famous maker of “claviórganos”, son of Gabriel (†1573). This younger is the last musician maker of the Monferriz family.
In 1578 he is described as “mayor de edad que es de veinte años” and in 1582 he marries Tomasa de Alegría
