Possibly the brother of Andrés de Contreras, also a violero. 1555.02.03 was to have married María Mexía, daughter of a butcher, with a dowry of 15000 mrs in cash and 35000 mrs in personal goods. The marriage took place 1556.08.13. At this date the dowry was valued at 41000 mrs. No documents yet located make reference to his activity as a violero.
