reynaudPT, p. 401: 1500 Juan de Medina rents a shop from Toledo cathedral chapter for 450 mrs/yr plus two gallinas [OF 102 f. 20v] .In 1507 he gives up his lease from the chapter of a house in Calle de los estantales 2350 mrs/yr and 5 pairs of chickens [OF 1102, fol 55 1507.01.15]. In 1520 he leases two shops belonging to the chapter for 175 and 200 mrs, these figures indicate that they were indeed modest. [OF 103, fol 4v] He is the earliest violero to appear in the Protocolos in 1519 on behalf of María Maldonado for whom he leased a room. [AHPT 1316, fol 732, 1519.04.16].
