Biographical information

One of four violeros listed in Relación de los vecinos que parece que ay enla ciudad de Toledo en este presente año de 1561 quoted in reynaudPT, p. 400.
reynaudPT, p. 401: 1525.01.19 leased part of “una tienda que tengo en el conjunto de mi tienda en que yo agora estoy” to a needle maker for 750 mrs/yr [AHPT 1240, fol 127v]. The following year he abandons the lease of a shop ‘appartenent a’ the chapel of don Pedro Tenorio, for which he paid 200 mrs/yr [OF 1149, fol 196. 1526.03.03]. He does the same in 1538.12.20 with another shop belonging to the same chapel, rented for 800 mrs/yr and un par de gallinas located in the merchants’ quarter of the calle de los lauderos, “vendant le pas de porte à un tourneur pour 750 mrs” [OF 1114, fol 348]. 1539.10.02, rents a house from the chapter for 6500 mrs and tres pares de gallinas [OF 1119, fol 153v]. The following year 1540.08.27 he rents another house. Unclear whether he gave up the former one in the “chapinería” [OF 1119, fol 296v]. The case went to court . In 1540.05.21 he rented a house in the pasish of San Lorenzo for 6568 mrs/yr and 13 pares de gallinas [AHPT 1440, fol 926v]. Two years later 1542.06.05 he rents his shop to the violero Juan del Portillo [AHPT 1452, f 544]
