Biographical information

[reynaudPT, p. 399] Actas Capitulares in Toledo refer to an Acta “to give alms to Marcos de Mena, violero, sick and probably impoverished. Toledo AC 1549.02.25.
reynaudPT, p. 404: Only reference to Marcos de Mena is in the Actas Capitulares of 1573.10.01 when he is given alms of 2250 mrs because he is ill and certainly in poverty. No information explains the relation to Bernal de Mena. He is evidently not a son of the marriage with Inés.

Check with Reynaud re the date of this acta. On p. 399 it seems that this is dated 1549, on p. it seems to be 1573.

romanillos2002, p. 247 reiterates Reynaud.
