1584 — “Cristóbal Bejerano was an overseer for 1587. He was with Juan de Carrión, Juan de Borgoña, Pablo de Carranza and Antonio Duarte, (all violeros in Madrid),
1587 — at the meeting in 1587 to change some of the conditions of the earlier ordinances of violeros. It was agreeed to add to the clause in the Ordinances the making of a harp and a viol in imitation of the ones from Flanders as further requisites to the already existing examination of a plain vihuela (una biguela llana y un arpa y una biguela de arco a imitacion de las de Flandes, porque tan solamente se examinaron de una biguela llana). 1607 — forty-eight year old Cristóbal Bejerano swore on oath that he had know Juan de Aldaz for twenty-two years and he had been told that Juan de Aldaz was examined by Antonio Duarte in 1586 for a plain vihuela (una biguela llana). [AHPM, 03-07-1607, Prot: 24848, fol. 594r.]
