According to the inventory of his possessions of the regidor of the town of Valladolid, Diego Mudarra, made in 1572, he owned 2 vihuelas and a guitar (AHPV/Prot/leg/67/f372)
If Roa’s conjecture that Alonso de Mudarra was originally from Valladolid, then this could well be a relation. Presuming the inventory is post mortem, he could be a brother or cousin. There is no documentary proof at this stage.
His son, also Diego, was subject to an inventory in 1609 (AHPV/Prot/leg/1440/f1862) that contains
"libros de cantos 7 copias, un canto de vihuela de Luis Milan"
