Also known in Spain as Esteban Jamete. Etienne Chamet sculptor and maker of religious images active in Spain. Sculpted the Venus vihuelist on the Capilla de El Salvador de Úbeda, ca 1545 (16-218). In Spain, he was known as Esteban Chamete. He was born in Orleáns, France, c. l515. He worked in Úbeda 1541-1544.
