Biographical information

Evidently another member of the Ayllón dynasty of violeros, the only evidence presently known about Melchor de Ayllón is that he made two guitars for the nine-year-old future king of Spain, Philip III, in 1587 (robledo2000, cited in romanillos2002, 26).
