A short song by Valderrábano placed as the last item in his libro tercero, and presumably of his own composition. It is in four-voices with the soprano in mensural notation. The accompaniment is largely hompophonic other than some final flourishes to match the vocal part at the end. It is set for a vihiela in D, and appears to be in mode 2, transposed to G. The text is simply a poetic quatrain which, as Pujol points out, is the base reuisite for a madrigal, although Valderrábano’s pager header and contents title lists it as a song.
