Valderrábano’s intabulation of the motet “Vita dulcedo” by Lupus Hellinck including the 2ª y 3ª partes: 2ª pars “Et Jesum benedictum (fol. 27v) and the
3ª pars, “O dulcis virgo” - (fol 28r). They are respectively of 62, 74 and 50 compases. The mode assigned here is on the basis of the soprano line. Mode 2, transposed to G. Valderrábano’s intabulation appears to be the sole surviving source of this work. The music is notated with the soprano part in mensural notation and the lower four voices in tablature. At the beginning of the third part in the tablature is the instruction: Prima en primero (corrected to: ‘tercero’) traste es la entonacion. Segundo grado. In RISM, the work has been assigned the ID no.: 993106523. No other source is indicatied.

Gil points out that the text is drawn from the Salve regina prayer (gil2017, 383). It corresponds to verses 2, 8 and 11 of the text below:
