This intabulation is of the Agnus Dei from the “Missa L’ Homme armé super voces musicales” by Josquin des Pres. The name of the author is disclosed in the table of contents, but not the name of the work. Valderrábano’s rubric preceding the tablature tells that “This Agnus has been set in this tuning because even though some notes are missing, others are added. Much of it is a literal intabulation of the work first published in Venice in 1502 by Petrucci in his Liber primus missarum, but there are some phrases omitted and others added. (see Gil 2017, 285). Another version for vihuela is in Pisador 1552, fol. 51.
