An intabulation of a villancico by Juan Vázquez found in his Recopilación de sonetos y villancicos (vasquez1560) although Pisador would obviously have drawn his source from an earlier copy to which he had access, probably in manuscript. The voice indicated to be sung is the tenor, indicated in red ciphers. Pisador’s rubric indicates that it is intabulated for a vihuela in A. Pisador’s tablature omits the second verse of the vuelta of the villancico, sund to the same music as the first. This is shown in brackets in the text below, drawn from the polyphonic setting.
