Another setting of a “romance viejo”. Pisador’s rubric tells that it is arranged for a vihuela in G. The text ot the romance is found in a pliego suelto [broadsheet] titled “Siete romances” (Valencia: [Juan Navarro], 1561), that survives in Italy (Infantes2013, no 28). The text narrates the death of Sanch II “el fuerte” (c.1038-1072) in the rebellion of Zamora in an intent perpetrated by the knight Vellido Delfos (pisador2002, I , 66).
