This short charming fantasia opens the second Libro of the Delphin.
Imitative Polythematic work, in three monothematic sections. Opens book II. It is a short work of only 69 compases. Transparent texture mainly a2 & a3 writing. Homophonic section divides work in the middle. Narvaez also uses his favorite theme in II.
Mode is transposed to G. Major Triad to end. Last theme extended into a final of an apparently formulaic type. Short work – continues through without much break. All sections laced together.
It was reprinted four times between 1546 and 1568.
