Commentary

Alternate ornamented version of the preceding piece. The rubric states: This villancico that follows is the preceding one and regarding the way in which is now arranged: the singer has to sing plain and the vihuela goes quickly.” It seems that this setting is an extended setting of the estribillo only. At the end of the music there ia an added rubric: “La vuelta de la sonada de arriba sirva pa[ra] esta debaxo” [the vuela of the song above might serve for this one below.
