Multi-sectioned polythematic and quasi imitative Fantasia. Very attractive. It is neater in structure than the preceding fantasia (mi021), a little shorter. It is a coherent work with sections divided by melodies as well as by their narrative intensity. The work’s flow divides it into three as shown on diagram below. It contains many thematic interrelationships and phrase patterns, that is harmonic progression underlying sets of imitations. Theme 3, 4, 10, 11 share a common prominent and typical motive as do 2, 5, 6, 7b, 8, 9, 11 – rhythmic pattern. S/A – T/B pairs used somewhat. The themes a a little longer, and more complete themes, not just theme heads.
