Four-voice polyphony, through composed. This is another case where Fuenllana’s idea of the mode appears unconventional. Jacobs assumes a vihuela in G some that the final chord is F, but it requires a signature of four flats, which is really outside the bounds of possibility. The piece behaves more as if it were in mode 1 for a vihuela in E.
