Commentary
Fifth of the series of fabordon settings by Francisco Guerrero. This one in mode 5. Text is from Psalm 109 (110) “Dixit Dominus domino meo” Fuenllana uses verses 2,4, and 8, plus the doxology “Gloria Patri”. The polyphony is anonymous in the MS E-GRmf 975, fols. 46v-50r, which has all the even verses.
