Commentary
Fourth of the series of fabordon settings by Francisco Guerrero. This one in mode 4. Text is verse 2 from Psalm 109 (110) “Dixit Dominus domino meo” concordant with the anonymous settng in E-GRmf 975, fols. 31v-35r that includes the full setting of the even verses 2, 4, 6, 8, and the two doxologies “Gloria Patri” and “Sicut erat” (ruiz2022).
