I has theme I imit, then II opens freely with motive that clearly resembles opening of piece then 2 comes in, and its descend 3rds are akin to the preceding motet which opens with desc. 4 ths. Then 2b = head of 2 is found in a freer setting with the idea of theme 1 coming in towards end.
III Theme 3 in quaver movement – suelto treatment – then the central thematic idea occurs several times in a freer form; the general shape & also the tail. Then 4 comes in as a short motivic theme.
