This work is an intabulation of the secunda pars of Gombert’s motet “Miserere pie Jesus”. The group of 5 Gombert motets Fu031, Fu039, Fu043, Fu045, Fu049 possibly all come from the same source, Gardane 1541 (RISM G2977), although other Gardane prints, both G2978 and G2980, have four each. Many of these were also reprinted by Scotto and circulated widely.
