Vocal notation puntillos

Polythematic, imitative fantasia. Each independent section is based on a single theme, with a small amount of free extension, and each section concluded with a decorated cadence.

Episodic divisions (compases):
I (1-25)
II (26-39)
III (40-63)
IV (64-71)
V (72-88)
Voice pairing is used quite a deal throughout, particularly at the beginning of each episode. Subsequent entries are spaced a little further apart.
Falling 3rds characterise the first three themes; the latter ones rise with a leap and then descend by step.

1. The opening theme is found in other works. (Fabrizio, Milán)
2. Unusually large number of thematic entries (twice in each voice): B-T-S-A-B-T-A-S-B-T
4. interlocking voice pairs of themes 4a and 4b, presented T/B, S/A
