Modern edition (717 pages) of manuscript prepared for Isabel of Castile in 1479. The Compendio Historial must have been written after 1462, the year where Rodríguez de Almela’s chronicle ends, possibly in the early years of the reign of the Catholic Kings (between 1474 and 1480), althought he was continuing to correct and polish the work until about 1487.
