Suggests a procedure for the systematic study of Spanish folk music. Categorizes materials such as 1) cancioneros (anthologies of songs dating from the 13th-17th c.), romanceros and vihuela collections, and 2) folkloristic, anthropological, and ethnomusicological collections.
