Summary

Ludovico: possibly the ‘Ludovico dall’arpa’ at the court of Ercole II d’Este in Ferrara in 1487, then possibly harpist in the court of Fadrique (1452-1504), last king of Naples and Aragon, later in Spain to his son Fernando III de Aragón, Duque de Calabria (1488-1550), and later the husband of Germaine de Foix in Valencia at the time of Luis Milán. Barbieri was mistaken in claiming L to have been in the service of F. el Católico. Information drawn from G. Fernández de Córdoba, Crónica de las Indias. Historia General de las Indias, Salamanca, Juan de Junta, 1547, f. 46v.
