In this paper, we gather and analyse the poems that appear in the preambles of Vihuela and Organ Treaties of the XVI Century. These writings reveal important contextual information, with references to these authors and constant allusions to Classical Greece. Also, these writings reveal the relevance and status of music among writers, printers and artists from different disciplines. This instalment is the first part of a wider work, which will deal with the poetry of many theoreticians (without an explicit relationship to a musical instrument) and musicians from other periods (XVII and XVIII Centuries).
En este artículo se recogen y analizan las poesías que aparecen en los preámbulos de los tratados de vihuela y órgano del siglo XVI. Estos escritos revelan una importante información contextual, con menciones a los propios autores y alusiones constantes a la época clásica. También se muestra la relevancia y el estatus de la música entre los escritores, impresores y artistas de diversa índole. Esta entrega es la primera parte de un trabajo de mayor calado, donde se tratarán las poesías de los teóricos (sin relación explícita con un instrumento) y de músicos de otras épocas (siglos XVII y XVIII).
